Auschwitz

Auschwitz

Auschwitz is in my bones. The exhibition, Paul McCartney, at art gallery of Ontario makes people think about concentration camps and Auschwitz. The black and white photography measures people’s characters through various expressions. It stakes an anti-war stance on Israel Palestine conflicts, Vietnam war, Venezuela oil tanks and elections and Iran wars, nuclear rearmament and various atrocities in the world through the rolling videos of interviews, performance and activities. The focus on the artist’s camera, a tool, an equipment staging lighting rounds of display in the cases has allowed multiple and multifaceted interpretations about its subject matters. It is an alienating device that marks the wars on Jewish people, Judaism and art schools that idolize their intellects in 20th century. It speaks the truth of encampment, the wandering of refugees, the unemployment and the workless daytime and nighttime hours as oppressed class, oppressions and expression of being oppressed to the powers. Power is ultimate. Power is abstract. Power is an abstraction like the new logo and branding of C.I.A., waves , radio waves and new wave. Etc.
