Yuling Chen

I’m Yuling Chen. I’m an artist, writer, reporter, actress, educator, researcher, photographer, videographer, journalist, and filmmaker. here is my website. it is a documentation of my narratives, works, and et cetera. Yuling Chen is an artist born and raised in China. She immigrated and moved to Canada for study exchange in 2010. She has become a Canadian citizen in 2019. Yuling Chen is interested in surveillance studies. She has used feminist discourse to create works that speak truth to the power. Her work investigates sensitive meetings points of surveillance and state machinery through new media art, video and photography. Her use of textile and papers often explores the narratives on the web about women, beauty and bodies. Her recent interests are not limited to systems, networks and powers. She has been widely exhibited internationally and locally.
