Since my mother came to Canada again in 2023, she has called me gaining weight and fatter by saying stuff like are you pregnant. She indicated I’m/might be pregnant/ someone got me pregnant by talking about it, my daily habits and how I looked chubbier. Is she okay? Is she also mentally ill? To me, it doesn’t just sounds offensive, but also acrimoniously bitter. Is she jealous of me? I already told her I haven’t had sex. She looked me up and down in a racist way and didn’t change her talking points. Frankly it just made me feel she was hateful and saying it on purpose. I didn’t do anything to deserve this. I found her utterly confounding. Etc.
