The scenery of departure at the red head gallery and other exhibitions at 401 Richmond provides a sense of relief in their depiction of a cold, unflinching and solitary world. Many of these images reveal a deeply traumatized landscape full of pollution, intention and designs. It has created an impression of phobia in the close encounters and closed off spaces. People as invisible or visible figures, guides and orientation fill out the canvases and screens with their shadowy emotions and personas. Are people scared? Are they worried? Are they detached? Etc.
