I went to see Wuthering heights when I was traveling to/ in New York in the winter this year. It made me feel like the movie was cheaply made. There was something fake about it. Everybody in the theatre was all not impressed. They talked all throughout the movie. I found it rather alarming how the protagonist had no agency of whatsoever. Everything she did was neither driven by anything nor does it make any sense. In one of the scenes she was poking a sharp object into her palm. I found that shockingly apolitical. Was she not a feminist? Etc.
