Yuling Chen is a Chinese Canadian new media artist. She is specialized in making works about beauty, labour and racial tensions using media archives exploring histories of new media art. She was born in 1990 on the southern small island of China, Hainan Island, in the city of Danzhou. When she was young she led a nomadic life moving from cities to cities, homes to homes and places to places. Thus, she had discovered her love in literature, obsession with identity, and eyes for design.
Dolce design studio
Dolce design studio is a germination of ideas. It comes from the Italian word, dolce, meaning sweet and soft. I think of leather supple, beautiful and long lasting. It is a design studio focused on branding, graphic design and website designs. It streamline the process of thinking so the customers don’t need to think or overthink. It’s about an organic process of making, artisan design and thinking. Etc.
