Butterflies, where are they explores jails, prisons and correctional facilities through photography, images and texts. It investigates how architecture affects people’s psychology. Etc.

Artist statement:

Since 2018 I have been working on how collecting butterflies could change the world and people’s perceptions about China, Chinese people and communities. It explores the frameworks of michel foucault’s critical writings on sexuality, jails and post colonial conditions of architectural landscape through various moves, movements and gestures produced in the world. it has set people’s intentions as the foundation of performance art, digital images and videos. In the jails, I repeatedly fold the mattress and explores the medium writing in order to channel the spirits of the world, the world spirit written by Hegel. It has helped me have a breakthrough and liberated me psychologically, financially and physically from entrapment, isolation and emotions (worries, jealousy and envy). Etc.
