Yuling Chen is a Chinese Canadian new media artist. She is specialized in making works about beauty, labour and racial tensions using media archives exploring histories of new media art. She was born in 1990 on the southern small island of China, Hainan Island, in the city of Danzhou. When she was young she led a nomadic life moving from cities to cities, homes to homes and places to places. Thus, she had discovered her love in literature, obsession with identity, and eyes for design.
The odyssey is going to be in the movie theatre. I wonder how an epic like this could be staged without fright. Is it about China? It seems hard to not be about China. I’m anticipating a lot of bloodshed and racist undertones. What do people know about movies like this? Etc.
