Jackets, Hong Kong

When I was in OCAD I bought myself a mackage down jacket. My friend in school, qirou yang, who wore a Canada goose jacket commented one time immediately that I looked like a middle eastern rich woman in that jacket. That’s how the campus politics of sexuality and jacket buying which relegated to class started. I felt upset and uncomfortable immediately. Is she saying that I’m spending money like random? Is she judging me? Like way before I judge her. I was offended. But I kept it to myself. Who said jackets can make people dissent like this? Then after I graduated in 2019, Hong Kong protests started and they protested in front of many luxury stores. I just remembered Alex Banman also bought a Canada goose jacket on discount. I only bought that mackage jacket because I shopped at the holt renfrew once and the sale got me to try a red one. Their protests seem to suggest government are caring more about money and look rather than what people wanted. That’s something I learned from that protests. Is Hong Kong still rich?
