Yuling Chen is a Chinese Canadian new media artist. She is specialized in making works about beauty, labour and racial tensions using media archives exploring histories of new media art. She was born in 1990 on the southern small island of China, Hainan Island, in the city of Danzhou. When she was young she led a nomadic life moving from cities to cities, homes to homes and places to places. Thus, she had discovered her love in literature, obsession with identity, and eyes for design.
I saw and met a guy in New York. He was wearing a pair of sunglasses and walking towards me. We past each other on the street. I almost ran into him. His face looked very familiar. Even his expression. I thought it was funny how he lifted his glasses. Is New York full of people like this?
