Bunny is a motif often used in art related to psychedelic. It’s a reference to the banned testing on live animals. The exhibition Psychedelic at the Royal Ontario Museum stakes its controversial heart on the indigenous knowledge about the drugs. It consists of installations, photos and videos to prove its case. One of the videos show indigenous people singing their own music, a song of rebellion on the upper floor of the museum. It gets people thinking about pop culture which often victimizes people who used the psychedelic. It tries to tell a story of permanent freeze on the drugs, the regulations, the social rules and the investigation. It criticizes the deep seated mentality surrounding the substance making racist conjecture about the drugs are mostly for low income people. How can you say otherwise?
