Dragon Princess

Dragon Princess

The dragon princess Kaia strongbones has not eaten any food since her 10 years old birthday, two days ago. She is famished. She walks out of the castle to look for food. She sees a boy who is 12 years old, ares fishmen, with blonde hair and blue eyes. Exactly like her. Except her eyes are darker shades of hazelnut like two bright suns.  She sees that he is selling fishes. So she buys two for 3 cow bones. He is thankful and takes her to a fire pit helping her to cook the fishes. She watches him kill the Fish and she follows suit with a knife sharpening it at the rock’s edge. As the fishes are killed and cooked above a fire with bamboo sticks, salt and honey, Kaia gets to know about the boy ares who has a keen interest in swordplay. Something she has lear Learned and ditched in the palace out of boredom. It pains her to think about the teacher and her old and dying father, mother, and her brother Lysander, who is 11 years old. How they have such hope in her to exact revenge on the people, enemies far away, To take back their rights, their freedom and their money. She sheds hot and bitter tears of shame as she eats the fishes with ares. He takes a pity on her and wipes off her tears with his sleeve. He comforts her in a foreign language, it’s all right. You Will win every fights. They finished eating. And he holds her hand and they walk around together in the drooping sun. Then she waves him goodbye walking back to the castle. Etc.News. Stories. Kaia strongbones walked along an edge. She was 18 years old. Ares fishmen was about to marry her. They met at a pit when they were small. Since then they have been hanging out together plotting revenge to wrestle back their kingdom from far away. She said as she paused in the roads, “what do you think? Is rose better than daisy?” Ares fishman was adamant, “of course. We will have roses.” Kaia was laughing, “well, that should be fun. Why do you drive so slow? The chariot would not work without strong hands.” Ares was following close behind her. He said in a considerate way, “I was thinking of you. Maybe you want to eat fishes. I could go catch some.” Kaia turned and looked him in the eyes, “sure! I would have fishes for our wedding feast.” Soon in the afternoon, at their weddings, they had fishes roasted, strung, and spiced up from the feast table. It was delicious. The palace court ladies all praised how good the cooking was. Etc.
