Ashley Bradley project
The mao ishikawa exhibition is standing out as a picture show for the freaks. It emphasizes bodies in a retroactive way displaying them along with dressed up and scenes. It talks about bodies through narratives and lores of World War II. I went to visit the Ashley Bradley project in may 2026. I was shocked to find out how these pictures and photography speaks to me. They seem to wave contentious gestures at the bystanders, passerby’s and strangers. What they are asking is what it takes for a person to survive in a foreign country. Do you make it your home? Do you wonder about other people’s lives who seemed to strive? These acidic takes on life has affected how I view the project as an emerging place for art making. Who are their target audiences? Who will buy their art? I have questions. And it’s hard to answers them. Etc.
