Prince William and Kate Middleton have become a fixture on my news radar since the pandemic. I remember clearly in the early days around 2010 or so moving to Canada I have often studied intensively of how people like them dress up. It had brought me to various brands on ASOS. I noticed the make up of the fabric and how important cotton is to upcycling. Since the pandemic, I have had chances to buy all sorts of clothes from different brands big or small. It has taught me great deal about clothing and textile industry, how they do recycling. It is very eye opening. In 2023 the Bangladesh fire at a market also told me a lot about clothing is often a symbol of wealth. In recent news Iranians turned up for funerals of Ali Khamenei. It also told me how people in the third world countries such as China, Iran or India are demonized. It was quite shocking to see these news and all the banners with Ali Khamenei going up. It reminds me of gigantic whales and whale watching. Etc.
