AGO has a new show about Monet and Matisse out. I watched the show. It was remorseless with its depiction of hookers, sex workers. Many people found it interesting. It has a degree of psychological trauma embedded in the image of red haired maven. However you couldn’t find the roots of it. It has a rootless energy migrating over the boards and continents. The pointillism of the paintings reveal a much troubled past of the artists. Their mental illnesses are apparent in the paintings. It has foretold a type of capitalistic frenzy coming in the seasons. Etc.
