One has to have money to go to schools. And I never had any. Now I’m on disability. It’s even harder to have it all. Higher education provides degrees. Many people choose the further education as a career path. Their research often gets published in academic journals to showcase a rarefied life. In 2017, I was selected as a global experience project student and artist. I have since formed a foundation of image making through research and videos. I shot videos of waterfront, flowers and birds as a further dedication of the video to my parents reflecting a golden age of China arising out of the historical traumas of opium wars. It was all about how flowers bloomed and grew. Their resilient spirit and beauty were often overlooked. Etc.
