9/11

When 9/11 happened in 2001, I was at home in Haikou, China. It was on tv. I saw the plane and the smoke on screen. In 2025 or 2026 I went to the 9/11 memorial and museum. The exhibitions show a world of collective grief. It has made me conscious of people who lost their lives. They also had a dugged channel in the museum. I walked along and looked at the photography documenting the events. It had a somber effect on people. I also saw some videos which were digital. It reminded me of the childhood in China that’s profoundly impacted by this act of terrorism far away – how I developed growth mark on my legs and faced people who were not of this knowledge in schools. Etc.
