Stolen Childhood

The exhibition stolen childhood at Royal Ontario Museum reveals a much debated subject, the indigenous rights and claims of land, in the world. The purple signages and videos portray a childhood lived in fear. At the end the sculpture of a tree and baskets of apples show how unfruitful the Mohawk residential school is in terms of subjugating indigenous children. The exhibition also points out how displaced children face obstacles in life. Their hardship has created a momentum of housing and related policies in governments of Canada and around the world. Etc.
