The picture place, my 90s rock photography, and other exhibitions in AGO reveals a myth about musicians, that they are not lovable. It makes a lot of people wince just by showing their complicated personalities and their fans’ fevered revelations. The installation, photography and paintings in the exhibitions tell stories of revelation and idolization through deconstructed imageries of chaos, organization and emotions. Their/ the photographers’ / artists’ private selfs often takes on a capitalistic meaning in the flow of these images and information tidbits, the more you make, the more the images need to be destroyed. Etc.
