Nowadays I got a boyfriend by directly naming him as my boyfriend. I was on the train. And an old woman was telling me to put my leg another way. I found that disturbing. But I put my leg to another direction anyway. It turns out people don’t usually have a direction. It’s human nature to depend on somebody, communities and people. I just found out in China people are often relying on themselves. Community, groups and friends are foreign concept to them. Even after they study aboard it’s a cultural shock to them. In schools they mostly develop relationships through bullying, conforming and betraying each other for higher architecture of social groups. They don’t do any community projects. They don’t contribute to the society meaningfully. They often orient their life using people who are richer as references. It’s quite unorthodox to have real friends. Etc.
